21日16时40分左右，山西太旧高速平定县常家沟段一辆客车与一辆小轿车相撞，客车冲破栏杆翻入高速路下的普通公路。事故发生后，山西交警、消防等救援人员已迅速赶往现场。目前，救援工作正在紧张进行中，伤亡人数还在统计中。
