核心提示：几天后，奉天高等法院对这一“煽动工潮案”作出判决，对刘少奇、孟坚的判决结果是：“证据不足，不予起诉，取保释放。”常宝玉因和纱厂有直接劳资关系，被判罚40天拘役。

在长沙领导工人运动时历险

1925年11月上旬，刘少奇由夫人何葆贞陪同从上海回湖南，住进长沙湘雅医院治疗肺病。12月16日，刘少奇出院后搬到了距湘雅医院两华里的长沙文化书社居住。这天，长沙下起了细雨还夹杂着雪花。突然，书社的店门猛地被推开了，闯进了几个便衣“顾客”，蛮横地、向后楼走去。就在这时，我党一位长期以这个书店为依托秘密从事地下工作的同志许文眩，大声向这几位不速之客喊道：“先生，我是会计，有事找我吗？”刘少奇听到外面有喊声，知道情况紧急，急忙下楼转移，可是，敌人已经控制了楼梯。这几个家伙未出示任何证件，就把刘少奇抓走了，押到了长沙戒严司令部，关进了长沙盐运街盐道衙门监狱。

中共湖南省委及刘少奇的家属采取了多种营救措施。我党的地下组织找来了刘少奇的二哥刘云庭，他在长沙有些关系，可以进行一些营救活动。随后，中共湖南省委又指派何叔衡、萧述凡、姜梦周、谢觉哉等同志利用在湖南的各种关系做赵恒惕的工作。赵恒惕原来逮捕刘少奇，意在压制工人运动，没料到竟引火烧身。正苦于没有脱身之计，他的两个亲信叶开鑫、贺耀祖出面保释刘少奇。他想，就做个顺水人情罢了，便吩咐手下的人说，让刘少奇“迅即离开湖南”。1926年2月上旬，刘少奇在社会舆论的支持下，恢复了自由。

出狱后，他的母亲赶到长沙，见到饱受煎熬的儿子，老泪纵横，恳求儿子不要再干这拿生命冒险的事情了。刘少奇扶起母亲，既是对母亲的安慰，又是对自己坚定革命信念的至诚表白，他深情地对母亲说：“娘啊，干革命哪有不付出牺牲的，儿子啥都能依你，唯独这革命事业，儿子决不放弃。为了劳苦人的解放，儿子愿意付出鲜血和生命！”刘少奇的母亲见儿子对革命如此执着，也就不再劝他了，只是在心里默默地为儿子祈祷：儿子从事的正义事业一定会取得成功。第二天，刘少奇告别了母亲和营救他的同志、朋友，前往上海，转赴广州。1927年2月19日，刘少奇到了广州。3月3日下午，中华全国总工会为他召开欢迎大会，邓中夏发表了热情洋溢的讲话。他说，刘少奇是我们工人阶级最奋发、最勇敢的战士。刘少奇在会上致答谢词，他诚心地感谢全国工农的营救，同时指出，工人阶级要识破帝国主义和军阀的阴谋，将自己团结和组织得像铁一样坚强，将来胜利一定是属于我们的。会后，刘少奇全力投入到第三届全国劳动大会的筹备工作之中。

在东北领导白区斗争时历险

1929年7月14日晚，一列黑色客车缓缓驶入奉天火车站。这时，大街上警车横冲直撞，岗哨林立，特务和密探到处捕人，白色恐怖笼罩着全城。只见两位衣着整齐的旅客，夹杂在熙熙攘攘的人群中，匆匆走出车站，雇了一辆人力车，到了一家旅馆。他们便是刘少奇（化名赵子琪）和夫人何葆贞。三天后，刘少奇与中共满洲省委接上了关系，移住到南满铁路南侧的工业区惠字78号，对外以海军司令部某副官的身份开展活动。为了组织工人的罢工斗争，刘少奇派中共满洲省委的干部孟坚到奉天纱厂同厂里的中共支部商讨斗争方案，决定由纱厂里的中共支部书记常宝玉等人在工人中发动罢工。厂方得悉这一情况后，立即四处寻找“煽动者”。就在这时，纱厂里的一名工人党员投敌叛变了，他向厂方告密，党支部书记常宝玉被捕。
