           （计算机能跟踪病人病情变化, 万一有危险会发出报警。）

 2) In the event of rain, the party will be held indoors.

           （万一下雨,聚会就在户室内举行。）

 3) In the event of my not being at the office, you can ask my secretary to solve your problem.

           （万一我不在办公室里,你可以请我的秘书来解决你的问题。）

 

       4) In the case of all motor vehicles, friction is essential in the operation of the brake.

          （就机动车辆而言,摩擦力是制动器运作时必不可少的。）

       5) In the case of intellectual property, it is vital that patent holder not commit fraud.
