The local government has issued a series of favorable policies to boost the tourism in Dunhuang in northwestern China's Gansu Province. Many tourists visited the Dunhuang Mogao Grottoes since October. There are on average 1,600 people visiting the Dunhuang Mogao Grottoes every day.
