Avocado is a fruit that is a healthy source of monounsaturated fat. This particular fat reduces the bad cholesterol in the body that can block arteries. Although avocados are known for their high fat content, they are great as a food if eaten in moderation and coupled with fruits and vegetables. Avocado is also good source of vitamin E, which is an antioxidant, that also promotes healthy skin by improving the skin’s moisture level and softness.

Raw or slightly cooked are the best way to consume these vegetables so that they retain all of the vitamins that they have. Cooking them all of the way depletes them of those delicious and wonderful vitamin properties.
