问：美国国防部5日公布的防务战略指南称，从长期看，中国成为地区强国将有潜力以各种方式影响美国的经济与安全，中国继续发展非对称手段抗衡美力量投送能力，中国在军力增长的同时须澄清战略意图。美军将继续强化在亚太地区的外交、经济和军事活动，通过维护与亚洲盟友及伙伴的关系，保持亚太地区稳定。中方对此有何评论？

耿雁生表示，我们注意到了美方发表的防务战略指南，将密切关注美军事战略调整对亚太地区乃至全球安全形势的影响。

美方在这份文件中对中方的指责是毫无根据的。众所周知，中国国防和军队建设的战略意图是一贯的、明确的，中国的和平发展对包括美国在内的国际社会是机遇而非挑战。

亚太地区的和平稳定是大势所趋，发展繁荣是人心所向。我们希望美方顺应时代潮流，客观理性地看待中国和中国军队，谨言慎行，多做有利于两国两军关系发展和地区和平稳定的事情。
