Now some fresh pickings from the Political Grapevine:

The Mourning After

The death of North Korean dictator Kim Jong-Il is hitting one South Korean man particularly hard.

The French Press Agency reports Kim Young Sik is a lookalike for the dictator and has been moonlighting as the "Dear Leader" on TV and film and in commercials for the past decade.

The 61-year-old father of two is worried he'll be forced to hang up his tailor-made green suits and large glasses -- quote -- "People try to comfort me saying some figures are more famous when they're dead, but I don't think it will be the case with Kim."

Loser Pays

Washington, D.C. ending the year on a costly note. The District will have to fork over about $1 million in attorneys' fees four years after losing the historic case over D.C.'s effort to ban handguns, which was ultimately decided by the Supreme Court.

The original plaintiff has now filed a fresh suit challenging the city's subsequent laws setting out numerous registration requirements for handgun owners.

Law and Disorder

From legitimate lawsuits to outrageous ones. The U.S. Chamber of Commerce has released its most ridiculous legal battles of 2011.

The top 10 includes a convict who sued the couple he kidnapped for not helping him evade police; a woman disagreed with a store over an 80-cent refund and sued for $5 million; a man suing for age discrimination said the judge in the case was too old, and a woman sued over a preview for the movie "Drive," because it did not show enough driving.

Crying in Your Full-price Beer

Finally, from lawsuits to laws. A new Utah law that goes into effect in 2012 will effectively end all happy hours by making it illegal to offer any daily specials on alcoholic drinks.

So dig deeper or drink less.
