真实的霍元甲：曾入黑社会 后人忙挣钱少练武

走进天津市西青区精武镇小南河村，随处可见写有“精武”二字的招牌：“精武超市”、“精武饭庄”、“精武学校”……因为这里是清末著名爱国武术家、精武体育会创立者霍元甲的故乡。

“这是我们家原来的房子，现在是重点文物保护单位了，归国家所有。我就搬到这后面自己盖的房子里。”霍元甲曾孙霍自正指着写有“霍元甲故居”的一片院落向环球人物杂志记者介绍。62岁的霍自正是个地地道道的农民，2006年，因起诉电影《霍元甲》侵犯名誉权，他曾一度成为舆论焦点。

“新版电影把霍元甲描写的好像黑社会人物，一帮酒肉朋友，不务正业。还说他为争第一滥杀无辜，招来杀母灭子之祸，家破人亡，绝后了。那我们这些后代算什么？他们说是文艺片，可以虚构，而我打官司，就是要让大家正确看待霍元甲。”霍自正后来败诉，恢复了平静的农家生活。

坟地练出的功夫

拿着家谱，霍自正向环球人物杂志记者讲述了霍元甲起伏跌宕的一生。1868年，霍元甲出生在一个迷踪拳世家。史料称，“迷踪拳”（后称迷踪艺）的基础套路由宋代梁山好汉燕青的“燕青拳”演变而来，到霍元甲父亲霍恩第已是第六代。霍恩第有3个儿子，霍元栋、霍元甲和霍元卿。传说，因为霍元甲幼年体弱，霍恩第开始不让他习武，怕影响霍家的声誉。“我觉得这些被故事化了，霍家有习武传统，不可能不让霍元甲练，可能是他先天条件不足，家人没太看好他。”霍自正说。

现在的小南河村，有一片枣树林，原来是坟地，荒无人烟。霍自正告诉记者，霍元甲当年就把那里当成了练武的地方。“他日复一日在那儿偷练，由于怕丢霍家面子，他从不和人比武，也没有人知道他练得怎么样。有一天，村里来了位武师，想和霍家人比武。谁也没有想到，霍元甲的武功竟然超过了所有弟兄，打败了前来挑战的高手。”那以后，霍元甲武功高强的消息不胫而走，他也终于走出坟地，光明正大地出现在霍家练武场上。

霍自正说，在电影和电视剧中，都有霍元甲婚外情的情节。其实，霍元甲一生只娶过一位妻子，并没有什么情人。“霍元甲的妻子姓王，是邻村一位地地道道的农家妇女。王氏三寸金莲，一生勤劳俭朴，粗茶淡饭。和霍元甲成亲时，继承的是老一辈的土坯房。电视剧里描写的气派的深宅大院和成群的佣人，都是没有的事。”

婚后，霍元甲和妻子靠种几十亩盐碱薄地勉强度日。农闲时，他挑着柴去天津卫卖钱。1896年，霍元甲在天津卫投奔了一家以搬运为营生的“脚行”，不久还当上了代理掌柜。霍自正说：“脚行在那时也算黑社会组织，清末国力衰弱，政府没有能力管理市场，只能让脚行或者码头霸主代为管理。脚行的混混们以各种方式欺压百姓，以武力获取钱财，除了上交一部分给官府，其他均据为己有。”

脚行有位冯掌柜，他原本以为霍元甲来了，能靠他的武功抢夺更多的权力和金钱，没想到霍元甲不仅不动武，还悄悄为百姓免去很多额外的杂费。霍元甲口中常说“免了”，这二字成为当时天津卫很多人的口头禅。霍自正说：“曾祖父引来手下和冯掌柜的强烈不满，被他们关了起来，最后愤然离开。”

霍元甲是通过两次打擂台声名鹊起的。一次是1901年，一位俄国人来天津卖艺，在报纸上发广告，称自己是“世界第一大力士”，打遍中国无敌手。霍元甲看了提出要与之一决高下。或许是迫于霍元甲的气势，俄国大力士灰溜溜地逃离天津。第二次是1909年，英国大力士奥比音在上海登广告，侮辱中国人是“东亚病夫”，霍元甲赴上海张园与他比武，慑于霍元甲的威名，奥比音最终未敢交手。两次不战而胜，霍元甲长了中国人的志气。
