一、 if非真实条件状语从句中要分清对过去、现在、将来哪个时段的虚拟。
1.If you had come earlier,you would have seen your father here.(主句和从句都对过去时段虚拟)
2.If you had come yesterday, you would see your father now.（从句对过去，主句对现在虚拟，即混合虚拟或叫错综虚拟. 这类虚拟一定会给时间状语提示时段）
3.Had you come earlier, you would see your father now.（从句中运用了省略倒装的语法）
二、作虚拟语气题目时要分清不虚拟的情况。
1.---You should have attended the meeting.(if you had had time)（虚拟语气）
---Yes.But i was busy.（陈述语气）
三、牢记表达虚拟语气的两种主要动词形式(should型和时态倒退型)。
1.如在suggest,insist,demand,require,advise等词后加宾语从句时，从句中的动词形式就用should型，即（should) do.
1)My father suggested that i (should) get up early.
2.wish加宾语从句时，则用的是时态倒退型，即对现在虚拟用过去时态，对过去虚拟用过去完成时态，对将来虚拟用过去将来。
1) I wish that i would help you.
四、牢记常见的虚拟语气句型。
1.It is (high/about) time that-clause.从句中用did.
2.would rather that -clause.从句中用did.
3.if only加从句，从句中用时态倒退型.
4.It is+adj.+that-clause,从句中用should 型。
例句：
1）It is time that we had a rest.
2) Tom would rather that Jack stayed for one more day.
3) I am in trouble now. If only i had taken your advice.
4) It is important that we (should ) learn English.
