There are many famous sayings about reading, like “Reading is to the mind what exercise is to the body.” Then, how can we develop the habit of reading(养成…的习惯)? In the first place, I believe we need to begin from an early age, then stick to it and never give up. Secondly, we should read books as many as possible, written by different writers.

阅读下面的短文,然后按照要求写一篇150词左右的英语短文。
My wife, daughter, and I moved into our home nine years ago. We called the area in front of our house “rock graden” as it is full of rocks.
Last summer I found a tiny little plant which I could not immediately identify at the end of the rock garden. I knew I didn’t plant it and my wife claimed that she didn’t either. We decided to let it continue growing until we could figure out what it was.
Weeks passed and as I made my way back to the mystery plant, it appeared to be a sunflower. It was spindly with a tall skinny stalk and only one head on it. I decided to take care of it and weed around it. As I pulled rocks from the area to get to the weeds, I notived something unusual. The sunflower had not started where I saw the stalk begin. It actually had begun under a big rock and grown under and around it to reach the sun.

We should be like the sunflower which knew it had the ability to overcome its obstacle (克服障碍) because it trusted in the universal truth(普遍真理)and had faith that it would succeed (faith的同位语). Besides, if we can stand tall like the sunflower and be proud of who and what we are, the environment will begin to support us.
