让我美得屁颠屁颠儿的7种小幸福

There are a lot of things that make us happy, that make us smile. But what about all those little things those seemingly unimportant, often overlooked things that bring us a HUGE, disproportionate amount of joy? Last night while sitting down to eat dinner it occurred to me that my steak knives make me really happy! They aren’t the most expensive steak knives on the market, they were given to me as a gift yet I love them every time I use them.

很多事情能让我们高兴，喜上眉梢。但你想没想过，有些我们经常忽视的鸡毛蒜皮的小事儿却能给我们带来超级到几乎离谱的喜乐？昨天晚上吃着饭，突然发现手里的牛排刀让我高兴的不行！其实它不是市面上最贵的牛排刀，是别人送给我的礼物，可我就是用一次爱一次。

Gwynn and I often point out to each other the little things that make us just oh so happy. Here are a few of the small things that make me disproportionately happy.

格温和我经常提醒对方那些令我们高兴的小事儿。下面就来说说那些让我美得屁颠屁颠儿的小事儿吧。

1. Waking up on Sunday, thinking it’s Monday and then realizing it’s actually Sunday! Come on you know you’ve done it…doesn’t that just make your whole entire Sunday? When that happens we pretty well prance around the house like we’ve somehow magically manufactured a day out of thin air. This makes for a pretty extra special end to the weekend.

1、星期天早晨一睁眼，以为今天是周一，又马上明白过来其实是礼拜天！别不承认，你肯定也有过这么一出??然后是不是整个星期天都特别美好？当这种事发生的时候，就好像是无中生有地变出了一天似的，差不多一直在屋子里上窜下跳。这件小事给周末添上了一个特别的尾声。

2. Green lights all the way home. This one makes me feel like someone is looking down on me, smiling and saying “There you go, now you have a great day!”. I love it when it feels like things just work.

2、开车回家，一路绿灯。这个时候我就觉得天上有人一直在眷顾着我，微笑着对我说：“来，高高兴兴地过一天吧！” 我就是喜欢万事如意的日子。

3. Label maker. We’ve had a label maker for nearly 7 years now and I love it. It seems everything is labeled from shelves and containers to racks and bins. This is one thing visitors to our home can’t resist poking fun at but we know they’re just secretly jealous 

3、标签机。我有一个用了七年的标签机，我爱死它了。我家里什么书柜啊、盒子啊、架子啊、锅碗瓢盆全都贴上标签了。每次家里来人总要拿这些标签损我们一道，但我知道其实他们都在偷偷妒忌。

4. A new notebook. I love getting a new note book. There is just something about cracking open a fresh, clean, crisp notebook. Couple this with a great pen and life really doesn’t get much better!

4、新笔记本。我喜欢崭新的笔记本，打开一本崭新、干净、清清爽爽的笔记本，这感觉就是不一样。要是再配上一只绝赞的笔，生活就没治了。

5. Our kitchen knives. This one is probably the biggest example of disproportionate happiness for us. Oh our kitchen knives. Every-single-time we use them they create such a huge amount of joy  I know you’re thinking “but they’re just knives…” If you love cooking, and don’t already use Global knives, you really should give them a try. They are not cheap but they are certainly worth the money, in our opinion. There are just some things where quality trumps price…and this is one of them for us!

5、我们的切菜刀。这恐怕是我们所有屁颠屁颠儿的小幸福里面最典型的一个例子了。哦，我的切菜刀。每次我亲自操刀的时候，它们都给刀带来无限的欢乐。我知道你怎么想，“切，不就是把刀么??” 如果你也爱下厨房，却没用过“具良治GLOBAL”刀具的话，赶紧去找一把。这个牌子不便宜，但是绝对值得，至少我们这么认为。又的东西就是物超所值的，这把切菜刀就是证明。

6. When plans don’t go according to plan. There are times when we make plans with friends or family to get together and then they fall through. It’s not that we don’t want to see these people but there is a disproportionate amount of joy associated with scoring some free time just for ourselves when it was unexpected.

6、计划赶不上变化。有时候我们和家人朋友定了约会，最后却不了了之。不是我们不愿意见这些人，但是在完全出乎意料的情况下，能给自己偷得半日清闲，那种美啊??

7. A good bottle of wine. This is especially true after we’ve had a run of particularly bad ones. It’s absolutely lovely to have a great bottle of red to break the trend.

7、一瓶好酒。连喝好几瓶都不咋地之后，终有一瓶佳酿倒转乾坤，善！

Quirky I know and even just listing them here I feel all sunny and chipper. How about you? Is it the coin sorter at your bank? Receiving something in the mail that you’ve been waiting for?
