　　石榴“御机疗渴，解酲止醉”。石榴不仅味美，营养也极其丰富，还有很高的药用价值，一身都是药，即其花、果(果皮)、根皮皆可入药。

　　石榴：含有鞣质、糖类、苹果酸、柠檬酸、氨基酸、维生素等，有软化血管、助消化、抗菌等功效。能健胃提神、增强食欲，对饮酒过量者，解酒有奇效。中医认为，石榴之功有“四止”，即止渴、止泻、止血、止带。

　　石榴花：有收涩止血作用，苏颂《图经本草》还说千叶石榴花可“治心热吐血”，外敷可治“金疮出血”。

　　石榴果(皮)：含鞣质、色素及微量生物碱，对痢疾杆菌、伤寒杆菌、结核杆菌及各种皮肤真菌有抑制作用。石榴皮煎剂还可驱除蛔虫、绦虫等肠道寄生虫。
